Areas of Practice

Criminal Law

Lexse Law represents individuals who are facing criminal charges or who are involved in an ongoing criminal matter. The firm’s owner, Ilse Torres Quezada, has experience representing both adult and youth clients in a range of criminal matters.

Driving Under the Influence

Driving under the influence matters in Alberta can arise quickly and often involve immediate consequences. Depending on the circumstances, individuals may face Immediate Roadside Sanctions (IRS) and other administrative penalties, such as driver’s licence suspensions, vehicle seizures, and fines.

Pre-Charge Legal Advice

In some situations, police may contact an individual to request a meeting or interview because the person is under investigation. Lexse Law understands that this can be an unsettling and uncertain experience, particularly for those who have never been involved in a criminal process.

Family Law

Lexse Law understands that family law matters are often emotionally complex and can have a significant impact on everyone involved. Separation, divorce, and related issues may affect not only the parties, but also children and family property.

Real Estate Law

Lexse Law provides guidance and support to clients involved in real estate transactions in Alberta and, in certain cases, matters that involve cross-border considerations with Mexico. Real estate matters can be complex, and clear legal guidance can help clients understand their rights, obligations, and options.

Immigration Law

Lexse Law provides legal guidance to individuals and families who are navigating immigration-related processes in Canada. Immigration matters can be complex and often involve detailed requirements, timelines, and documentation.

Legal Advice and Guidance in Matters Related to Mexico

Lexse Law provides guidance to Canadian clients who have legal matters or interests in Mexico. She speaks Spanish fluently and has first-hand understanding of the language, culture, and legal system in Mexico.

Moving to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Ilse experienced the challenges of navigating a new legal and cultural environment. This personal experience helps her understand the uncertainty and complexity that can arise when Canadian clients need to interact with Mexican legal processes.

Lexse Law assists clients with guidance in a variety of cross-border matters, including:

  • Relocating or immigrating to Mexico

  • Establishing or managing a business in Mexico

  • Contracts, wills, and other personal or business legal concerns

Notary Public & Commissioner for Oaths Services

Lexse Law provides notary public and commissioner for oaths services to individuals who require documents to be notarized or sworn for legal, personal, or administrative purposes.
